Quiet place, lots of sting rays!
James Farm Ecological PreserveAthena and I took a walk through the preserve to get to the small beach area. There is different paths that can be taken. We cross a tiny boardwalk to this little beach area where there was just one family and no other dogs. However, there were stingrays in the water and on shore. I almost turned right around. But I found a spot that was clear and let her get her feet wet since it was a hot day and we just walked there. I don’t know if I came at a wrong time/season. But I wouldn’t suggest going there with your furbaby. She wasn’t interested in the sting ray. But they were in the water. So we just stayed close to shore where I could see that the area was clear. I was disappointed for the beach area. The walking area is nice. It’s in the shade. However, there is no nice reward afterwards if you don’t want your dog to go to the beach with stingrays. We will be trying another one tomorrow.

The Best place for a dog
Great Sand Dunes National Park and PreserveI just left here(Feb 22) and there were no other dogs there. Since we have been traveling, I must admit I left my dog off leash. She was in heaven. She just ran around and enjoyed herself. Because there is no set path you can go up the dunes where ever you want. Just ensure you pick up your dogs poop! It was great. How ever we did encounter a sand storm. All in all highly recommend!!!

Great Location!

There are people jogging, biking, walking, and there is this big green space in the middle I would say at least as big as a football field with people playing with with their dogs in different areas. Some dogs on leash some playing catch. All very chill, beautiful and with the Golden Gate Bridge in the back ground. Definitely recommend!
