Lovely time for us and for our dog

The Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island was both lovely and dog friendly. Our ground floor premium king room had a front door facing the parking lot and a back door opening onto a small patio and lawn area facing the ocean - such a beautiful view! We enjoyed sitting on the patio reading, talking and enjoying the view. We brought a short lead and staked our dog close to us but with a little room to roam, which she enjoyed too. We only did this while we were present. It was a short walk to a beautiful beach that was good for wading and swimming. Dogs are permitted on the beach. There were many restaurants on the island with outdoor, dog-friendly seating. The room itself was clean and comfy with plenty of room for a dog crate. The staff we met were all friendly, helpful and kind to our dog. There was even a magnet to put on the door to indicate a dog was in the room. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend this place!
