Lake Vista Dog Park, St. Petersburg, FL 16th St and 60th Ave. S

I went to visit Lake Vista dog park today with my Jack Russell. There is a small dog side and a large dog side. The small dog side is a waste of land space. It is a long, narrow run that no one takes care of. Dog owners have not complied with the rules and there is dog poop (of all sizes) that has been left for the flies to hover over. In addition the "water" that is available on this side does not exist. However, the large dog side is wonderful! It is very large in comparison to the small run the poor little dogs have. In addition, there are shade trees all over and the water, the water is available to drink and to spray over your overheated dog or to fill up a small pool they have provided for them. It's a shame the small dogs have not been afforded the same consideration here.
