Not fit for man or beast
Motel 6 Rohnert Park CASketchy individuals watching our comings and goings. Room smelled of stale urine. Office dude came to my room on the second day of a 3 night stay telling us we were supposed to be out, but he was mistaken. Room was tiny, queen bed was just a double, thin walls. We left early and pray we won't have a need to return.

Good grass areas
Super 8 by Wyndham AuburnThe price is right. Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. The room was clean and insect free, but the towels deserve a mention. They were incredibly thin and shaggy/rough, never seen or felt anything like it, but they get the job done. And there's a Wienerschnitzl, which was fun.

Near historic gold rush town
Best Western Amador InnThey put on a pretty good breakfast, but there are very few places for a dog to “go”. Decorative rock with just a few weeds to pee on, or a tiny fake grass area; my dog was not impressed. Friendly, helpful staff, right on 49, which is noisy, but convenient.
