Great hotel!
Best Western Plus Fort Stockton HotelAfter an 8 hour drive yesterday, we were all happy to get out of the car. The dog runs are fantastic and clean. Traveling in the SW most places are rocks or dirt, the Astro turf was a welcome change. Our room was large and extremely comfortable and clean. We did not use the pool, but the area looked very nice. We enjoyed a simple complimentary dinner which was nice to not have to get back in the car, they also have a full bar. The complimentary breakfast was good and of course they had a Texas shaped waffle maker. Would definitely stay here again when passing through the area.

Good location!
Trail Rider's InnI'd probably give this a 3.5 bones but that's not possible. The hotel is older but the room was clean and very close to town. There's a nice outside courtyard and each room has a couple of chairs in front. The description says only 4 rooms are pet-friendly, but that is not correct. There are only 2 rooms that are NOT pet friendly as they still have carpeting, the rest of the rooms have tile. Not much to do in Tombstone so I probably won't go back, but if I do, I would consider staying here again if I had my dog with me.

Very nice dog park!
City of Gallup Dog ParkWe stopped last week on our way from TX to UT. The park was nice and clean, and quite large. Very close to Old Town Gallup (which is worth exploring if you have time, we did not). There is a small dog section too. We were there during the week about 10am and no one else was there. Was a great place for us all to stretch our legs.

Great dog park!
Las Cruces Dog ParkWe are driving from AZ to TX today & stopped by the dog park on our way through. It was very clean, was large, had several shady areas with chairs, and lots of water buckets. there's a smaller section for "special needs" dogs (that's what the sign said). Our dog had a good time and it also allowed us to walk around and stretch our legs. A previous post mentioned holes in the fence but I did not see any. My dog is very skittish and would run off given the chance so I made sure she couldn't get out. They only have porta-potties for us humans.

Good location
La Quinta by Wyndham Albuquerque WestI would probably give 3.5 bones for the hotel. It's on the freeway but we asked for a room on the pool side so we didn't hear traffic at night. Our room was clean, had a fridge, microwave and a desk. The hallway looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a while though. The hot tub didn't work and was roped off. Breakfast was ok - typical of this type of hotel with toast, bagels, waffle maker, yogurt, etc. There was not a very big grassy area for the dogs and the sprinklers were on in the evening and again in the morning, so I had to walk my dog in the dirt. There were some people in the parking lot that probably didn't belong there. I just made sure not to walk after dark.
