Hotel didn’t know “Fido” was coming?!

The hotel was easy to find and room was comfortable BUT they had no record we were bringing a dog so that created some confusion. So not exactly the welcome I expected. They did eventually accommodate us. Room was on a busy hall on first floor - which was stressful for my young dog. But it worked out ok.
Location was not ideal for dogs. Their “dog yard” was a small space, no fence, and combined with their trash can area. Biggest disadvantage was hotel is surrounded by highways/busy roads with no sidewalks or places to walk my dog. So it was a good thing we were not staying more than one night. It was “ok” -not great. Fine hotel if you don’t have a dog.
