Major dog friendly
CapsizeI wish we had brought our dog. It is the first time I ever saw a dog menu, snacks and a bucket of water. we will go back with him. Good people food too!

Lovely park
Cape Henlopen State ParkWe asked at the entrance about dog rules and they gave us a brochure but it was pretty vague. So we just looked for signs before when we got to a trail. Seems the bike trails are open to dogs and unprotected beaches like at Herring Point as well. We found more than enough places to explore. for the day. May 1 more pet restrictions go into force for the season. So be aware about that. And it is a “ carry in and carry out” park. Bring plenty of bags.

Depends on the other dogs there
Dogfish Head Craft BreweryBecause of the weather we went inside to the tasting room. There was a REALLY aggressive dog and the owner had to pull him back. We have a happy go lucky Retriever who was stressed out by it. We found a spot on the other side of the bar and had a beer. When we left it was the same thing with the dog owner dragging his dog away. I don’t think I would go there again.
