We took our dog Maisy. She loved it, we had the place to ourselves (around 3:30). We were a little worried when we arrived because a plane was taking off but it turned out that the noise from the airport was minimal, no other planes took off. The area was nice, wood chips plus some patches of grass. Water was available on site. There was shade under the trees & chairs to sit on. We would go back again.

We stopped at this park to let guys dog exercise and eat a picnic lunch on our road trip. There was a significant heat wave so the shade felt smaller and less cooling than I am sure it is on any other given day. The ballpark restrooms are in repair so they had port-a-potties that were literally the cleanest I have seen EVER.
Quiet neighborhood but close to the airport so you will hear airplanes from time to time.

Stopped in the area for a quick run of the dogs as we were traveling through the state. Overall nice park, would use again, had bark/dirt mostly, had couple different fenced areas and I believe an unfenced larger grass area to run dogs on. There was water and bags there for waste, and benches for owners and trees for shade. Is located on the back side of a sports area (someone had posted it was a softball field?) but there wasn't anyone using it at the time so can't comment on how that affects the park use.

this place is great for dogs! there’s a fenced in area to the east side of the park behind the softball fields with water, shade and benches.
This park has both a fenced in area and huge grassy fields for off leash play. I usually walk from the fenced in areas and loop through the many fields. my pup loves it there! people are generally friendly and there’s plenty of spots to play.

We were visiting Albuquerque for a few days and found this dog park for our large dog. The park is very large, has benches to sit on, water, shade and poop bags. I would highly recommend this park. The dogs who visited in the morning were friendlier than those in the afternoon.
- MaryMore than a year agoWater available now
Water has been added to this dog park recently. Lots of shade and two sections. One was to be for smaller dogs, but the sign is gone and no one follows that anymore. This park is now quite popular and can get very crowded at peak hours. For the most part owners don't tolerate aggressive dogs, but owners do tend to congregate together talking, while dogs are left on their own to interact. During sports season it is also not unusual to see parents bring very young children into the park, using it either as short cut to the ball fields, or to pet dogs while they are watching games. That one always makes me nervous. But overall, this is a well maintained dog park, plenty of room and generally nice dogparkers. Water is on East side of the park.

Very nice park, lots of trees and park benches. Situated close to the AF Base and the VA Hospital. It's not as heavily frequented as the Los Altos Dog Park, but the people are nice and very vigilant about watching their dogs. There is a big dog park as well as a small dog park.
