    Not great

This dog park is segregated. The small dog side seems neglected. Instead of grass or maybe wood chips or small smooth stones, there was large jagged gravel rocks laid down over the mud. No dog should have to run on jagged rocks. However, on the large dog side there was only grass, no gravel. I thought about bringing my small dog over to the large dog side but I'm aware that if the park is separated that there may be large dogs that don't get along with small dogs. I only saw a woman with 2 German shepherds on the large dog side, her dogs were playing with a small dog. I didn't know if they all just knew each other and that's why the dogs got along, so I called over "excuse me, do your dogs get along with small dogs?" The small dog owner mentioned they owned the small dog only (and actually brought their dog over to play with mine, since mine was the only dog in the small dog area - very typical). The other woman stopped talking so I knew she heard me, but then completely ignored me and called her dogs away and left into the woods. Rude. I never assume when it comes to safety so that's why instead of just allowing my small dog into the large dog area I would ask first. The other people were kind. But I'm fine never returning. Jagged rocks and separation of dogs isn't welcoming. I did, however, put my dog on a leash and walked the trails around the park outside of the DEA.

    Best local park

It’s a large park that has lots of tree cover! Never gets too cold in the winter and plenty of shade in the summer. We take our huskies all the time, we love it here!

    Drama

I stopped taking my dogs to this park a year ago. From owners bringing untrained dogs that fight with others to flea ridden animals, always a argument, your dog started it, etc. If you like drama, then this is the place for you. If you want a quiet walk with your dog I would highly recommend staying far away from this place. PS, never any park rangers supervising or checking tags.
