Lake Shetek State Park Bring Fido to visit the pet-friendly Lake Shetek State Park in Currie, MN. The namesake of the park is the largest lake in southwestern Minnesota. Plonked in the middle of the lake, you'll discover Loon Island, a 45-acre island that is accessible on foot via a causeway and includes an interpretive trail. There are over 25 miles of trails in the park, including a six-mile paved bike trail and 14 miles of trails through prairie areas and wetlands.
