Description

Before there was Lake Allatoona or Lake Lanier there was Mountain Park with Lake Garret and Lake Cherful. The wildlife refuge that honors the two-legged wildlife as much as the 4-legged. The Festival features live music, food, and all the craft beer you can drink safely. Enjoy all of this in the beautiful Georgia outdoors. Bring your dogs and come enjoy the beautiful wildlife and greenery as we usher in summer. When you enter Mountain Park it is as if you journeyed back in time. Folklore of our area tells of the Creek and Cherokee Native Americans traveling great distances to gather the medicinal waters from our seven streams. Then we entered the time of prohibition and moonshine. It was rumored that even Al Capone had ties with us. Now fast forward until today and we are a beautiful eclectic community dedicated to bringing our lakes back to balance. That's why the beer festival is donating a portion of it's proceeds to The Mountain Park Watershed Preservation Society. An organization also dedicated to returning our lakes to a healthier state of being.

Capone Didn't Give a shit about MP

Capone Didn't Give a shit about MP... He was on the Cherokee country side to see one man, and one man only. If YOU don't know who that was, then you don't need to know.

Had a great time with friends and dogs

Had a great time sitting by the lake, listening to music, and drinking some great beer. Went with friends and made some new ones their. Dogs loved the event too. Just make sure to bring your own blanket, or chairs. There are plenty of shade trees but we might bring an umbrella next time and sit closer to the lake. Great day trip to North Georgia area. Did dinner at nearby downtown Roswell.
