Charlotte DogFest

Charlotte DogFest is one of dozens of events being held nationwide to celebrate, bring awareness, and raise funds for Canine Companions for Independence (CCI). The event will host kid friendly AND pet friendly activities as well as vendors, raffle items, merchandise, demonstrations, speakers, music, & more!! We will have a 1 mile walk'n'roll event as well for those who would love to participate in our walk! Canine Companions for Independence is a national non-profit organization that trains assistance dogs for those who have a disability at no cost to them. CCI trains service dogs (mobility related), facility dogs (Courthouses, hospitals, rehab centers), assistance dogs (i.e. children with autism, mobility issues, etc), and hearing dogs (for the deaf or hard of hearing). Each dog that goes through the CCI program is trained fully and cost up to $50,000 to train, and CCI provides these dogs to disabled handlers for FREE thanks to the awesome donors to the program. This is an open event for anyone to come out and enjoy! You are welcome to bring your dog as well (Must be on leash at all times and dog friendly) to participate in the walk or just browse our vendors!
