International Pet Travel Dog Travel Forum

I would like to take my dog with me to Europe and wonder if anyone has experience with Swiss Air as to how strict they are regarding the 17 lb weight limit for pets travelling inside the cabin. My dog fits nicely into a Sherpa bag, but with the bag's weight, he's about l/2 pound over the 17 lb limit. I sure don't want the nightmare of arriving at check-in and being turned away because of 6-8 ozs. Has anyone had experience with Los Angeles check in counters at Swiss Air? Are they reasonable and would they let a pound of less overweight go?
