Pet Amenities

Has anyone been to the Grand Canyon area while travelling with big dogs? We have Labrador Retrievers and while many of the campgrounds in the U.S. say they have dog runs or dog exercise areas, we have found that they while they might be large enough to exercise a Chihuahua, they are barely large enough for one of our dogs to turn around in. We haven't been able to find a campground in the Grand Canyon area that allows for big dogs to get any exercise or go for a swim. Does anyone have any suggestions?
