The Queen Mary (Kunard) sails from New York to Southampton UK to Hamburg and back. They have a pet area with kennesl and a kennel master. You have a lot of visiting hours to be with your pet in a designated area during the day. You have to book the morning the schedule comes out for the next year though, which was a year in advance for us. It ends up to be about the same price as going by plane one way for two people with a dog in the cargo hold (we booked a cheap cabin without a window). Now if you change your mind, you can cancel up to 3 months before the journey starts and get your deposit back. For us this was a life saver, because our dogs has fear issues and would not survive a flight in the cargo holds. Hope this helps everyone and I also hope more cruise ship companies follow this idea. There is a great need out there.
