My husband and I travel a lot in the summer and have just started taking our dogs with us. I am retired. We have 2 dogs. A boy Vizsla, who’s name it Takota, and an Australian Shepard/Blue Heeler who is a girl.

Very nice and roomy!
Hampton Inn & Suites McKinneyWe had a huge room! The dogs loved it! There was a giant field next door, so the dogs played ball and got some much needed exercise!
Good place to play ball
Jurgens ParkIf you’re looking for a spacious place to play ball with your dogs, this is it. We travel a lot and the RV dog parks are usually very small and many times not fenced. If that’s the case we always look for alternative places. This one was very close and our dogs loved it. There are jugs of water hanging on the fence and bags to pick up after your dog all around. We will spend lots of time there while we are in this area.
Not for Us
Comfort Inn ColbyWe stayed here because it was the right price for us and our 2 dogs! I mean who charges $10 for each dog these days?
However, you know how you usually have to turn the air down when you go into a room. Well ours wasn’t even turned on! It was almost 100 degrees outside and our room felt close to that. We got in our room about 9 and it took it until midnight to actually be cool enough to sleep. They have small refrigerators in the room but they don’t have a freezer. A big reason we need a refrigerator. They did put our reusable ice things in their freezer.
I think another review said bring your fly swatter. It’s true, flies everywhere.
Beds were comfortable, but the hot room made it difficult to sleep.
Next time we will pay more if we ever have to stay in Colby again. Live and learn.
