Problem with the shower

For the most part this was a very nice hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly, near places to eat and lots of green area to walk the dog. One of the elevators was out of order the day we were there, but that was just a minor inconvenience. My problem was with the shower. It did not have a regular drain. There was a solid metal plate in the floor with very thin areas around the edges of the plate through witch the water drained. It drained very slowly and consequently I had to turn the water off twice in a period of less than 5 minutes to let the water drain or it would have overflowed the edge of the shower. I don't know if this was just our room or if that was the design for the hotel. I was going to ask, but a storm was coming and we needed to get on the road. This issue is not enough to keep us from staying there again, should the need arise. But it is the reason for just four bones instead of 5.
