Convenient Location

We got a King Suite that had a huge amount of space for us and our two dogs. Our Dutch Shepherd certainly thought the couch was comfy! An enormous amount of grass with empty lots nearby to throw a ball. Convenient to many restaurants as well. The only ding I had was for the aged rooms. The first thing I noticed walking into the room was peeling wall paper and an exterior door that didn’t deadbolt correctly.

Other than that, it was clean, the front desk girl friendly, and breakfast was the typical waffle maker, powdered eggs, sausage, coffee, etc. I actually appreciated the first floor rooms being accessible both from an internal hall and an external door so we could back our truck up to the door. Would stay there again, as it was perfect for an overnight stay on a cross-country drive.

Quiet and Clean

The front desk girl was overly enthusiastic to greet any and every dog that walked in, but I'll take that over someone being snotty any day! There was a nice, well-maintained, grassy area out back to potty the dogs with dog waste mitts provided by the back door and (an empty container) in the grass itself. Why only three bones?

While the room was clean and updated (by Motel 6 standards) there were zeeeeeero frills, not even a micro-fridge. Not a big deal for us as we were only spending a night to get a busted window repaired while on a road trip. No breakfast provided, but there's a McDonald's just across the street and a plethora of area restaurants if you want to drive.

The location is decently off the interstate and was completely quiet. Not the most welcoming area, but not anything that raised my Spidey-senses either. You won't be taking your dog for a walk around the neighborhood, however. The bed? Meh. If you like sleeping on a mat on a hard floor, you'll love it. If your Sleep Number is a 45 like me? Hope you brought a good pillow!

In short, very dog friendly, actual green grass to do their thing, quiet albeit it slightly uncomfortable night, and McDonald's to stroll over to for all your dietary ruining!

Plenty of Grass for an Overnight

Friendly front desk staff, and perfectly welcoming of our Dutch Shepherd and Malinois! Tons of soft grass outside for the dogs is something we always look for regardless of location. Room was no frills (it's a Super 8, folks), but updated and clean. Only downside is that it's on the other side of the overpass from copious restaurants, etc. There's no walking anywhere save to the gas station/convenience store adjoining the parking lot. We just stayed for a quick sleep during a cross-country drive and it was perfect for that.

Quiet Location and Friendly Staff

Overall this place was great! Savannah, behind the front desk, was enamored to be able to love on our Malinois...showering Alexa with treats. We had a King room which had plenty of space for our two dogs to hold their wrestling sessions, and the large, mowed, field outside gave me room to throw a ball.

Detractors? Rooms were in need of some maintenance with burned out/mismatched bulbs, a REALLY loose toilet seat, and a general musty smell. Admittedly the smell is about impossible to get rid of with a wall A/C unit in notoriously humid Missouri.

Breakfast was plentiful and well-stocked with an above-average QuikTrip across the parking lot for a quick bite if you're just there for the night. We were stuck there an extra night due to vehicle troubles and everyone was incredibly helpful to ensure that we were able to keep our room and accommodate us.

Convenient Location With Lots of Grass

If you need a strip off of I-70, you can’t get much more convenient. Massive amount of grass, but no convenient way to get there other than walking around the perimeter of the building. There’s a dog park (and kid park) at the huge fuel/truck stop behind it. A breakfast place across the street (though the hotel breakfast sufficed!), and a fantastic restaurant (City Lights) at the far end of the hotel. Virginia at the front desk was great; 1st floor room; clean albeit dated. Only complaint was the noise from other patrons.

Perfect Place for Your Dog!

Both ladies at the front desk were beyond welcoming, the location is really quiet; far removed from the main road, and the room was clean and comfortable! Yes, it’s an updated, older motel, but it was beyond expectations for the price, and we actually prefer this. No hallways to negotiate with the dogs, and given this was a stop over for a cross country trip, I liked that my truck was right outside my door for security reasons.

The best part, however, is the MULTIPLE, HUGE, open grassy areas out back. While a flock of geese, and two, funny, cats stalking them were occupying the one immediately outside, we walked to one of the others. Great place to exercise them and get some of the crazy out before another day of driving! If I ever make the slog on I-40, again, I’ll definitely stay here!
