Shaky but clean
Sunset Inn John DayThe hotel was largely clean and dog friendly. However, the building and environment are less than ideal. The place is OK for one night. The facilities need upgrading but they’re working on it.

Adequate for short stay
Mountain Village LodgeReasonable accommodations. Rooms and amenities are adequate. Beautiful location in the mountains as a lovely backdrop. Associated restaurant was fine as well.

Our Aussie liked it
Shasta InnRoom was uncomfortably small but everything else was more than acceptable. Clean, neat and dog friendly. Restaurant was splendid and food was tasty. Owner was quite sociable and concerned.
