Parc Canin Saint-Augustin-de-Demaures - A great place to visit.
Parc Canin Saint-Augustin-de-DesmauresParc Canin Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures is a lovely (large!) park about a 15-minute drive from old-Quebec. It appears to have two fenced spaces (I didn’t look closely, but one area was quite small and was perhaps intended for dogs that are very little or shy.) During the hour that we were there, all dogs, big and small, played together in the large spaces. The dogs were well behaved -as were the humans (be sure to pick up after your pup!). The part of this park that you see when you first arrive is big, though the grass is somewhat worn out – but just across a little bridge is another section that is huge and verdant. There are even some small, wooded areas for the dogs to explore. I would have appreciated more than a single bench, but we humans just chatted and followed our dogs as they moved around. I’ll definitely go back. FWIW – there is a parking lot in front of the park. The park is not super-easy to spot (no big sign to look for). Trust your GPS!
Looks like it will be good
Parc Canin de la Pente-DouceThis park is closed for renovation October-December 2022. It looks like it will be a lovely place to take our dog.
Friendly, Clean, Well Located
Comfort Inn & Suites Watertown - 1000 IslandsThe only reason I am rating Comfort Inn and Suites 4 bones (not 5) is that it’s an older hotel. From the point-of-view of someone traveling a dog, it was virtually perfect! It was very clean and staff was friendly, efficient, and clearly had a lot of experience accommodating guests with pets. I’d definitely recommend it — stress free.
