Clean but small rooms

The hotel was very clean, in a good area, and our room was nice. However, the "outdoor dog area" was about 10 sqft and right next to a homeless encampment so I couldn't take my dogs outside by myself (since I'm a petite female.) The hotel also claimed they weren't aware I was bringing pets (even though I booked through BringFido and I called to confirm two days before). Lastly, it was the smallest hotel room I've ever been in. The dogs literally couldn't move around at all... there wasn't even a spot for them to lay down besides the bathroom floor. Wouldn't book again but I've certainly been in worse.
