Easy to find off the highway
Best Western Green Tree InnMay be a bit loud for some anxious pets to eliminate outside. Our 6 month old Dane took a lot of walks and confidence-building (despite her socialization and thorough training; I’m a veterinarian) to finally go outside. The staff was friendly. The pet area had a lot of stool present that other owners didn't pick up but I can’t necessarily fault the hotel for. The room was a La Quinta-level; Nice, clean but typical strip hotel. Decent green area available and a pet station, also. Within line of sight of the busy highway. Would definitely stay again given the price point, though! Thanks, Best Western!
Quiet walking trail
Jacob Schramm Nature PreserveIt can be muddy and the wooden platforms can be a bit wobbly in places, so not for scaredy-dogs and you might avoid it after rain. It is a small, overall circular hiking area that is relatively flat otherwise. Some branches obstructing the path in some places occasionally. mostly trees and nothing much else to get too excited about. As a local, I’ve gone there only once and haven’t gone back.
There are no water stations or anything so bring your own bowl! Might bring water a towel for mud, also.
The entrance has two pokestops (one is a gym) if you care for that sort of thing, too!
