Beautiful Location
The Retreat on Charleston PeakThe location was in the beautiful mountains outside of Las Vegas which was perfect for our pup vs staying close to the busy strip. The rooms could use a little updating, but they were clean and had basic amenities. The hotel doesn’t have an elevator, so something to note if you get a room on the third floor, like us. However the stairs were not a problem for us. We loved the landscape and got to stargaze at night. It was the perfect little gem to spend a night on our drive from Colorado to California. We would stay again!
Affordable Location
The Virginian MotelThe staff was friendly and check in was a breeze…even with the virtual kiosk. The room was basic, but clean and spacious. The motel is right next to a walking path next to a creek which was great for my pup. We only stayed one night from our drive from Colorado to California, but we would stay again!
Good for road trip with pup
Motel 6 Grants NMThe room had basic amenities, but was clean and perfect for 1 night while passing through on a road trip. Beware of burrs/stickers around the property that will cause your dog discomfort. However the motel does have a small designated pet relief area in the back that’s sandy with poo bags.
Good for road trip with pup
Red Roof Inn Louisville East HurstbourneWe stayed here for 1 night while passing through on a cross country road trip. It was almost full, so glad we had a reservation especially because we checked in late. Our room was basic but clean, and there were plenty of grassy areas for pet relief.
Clean and comfy
La Quinta by Wyndham Tulsa Broken ArrowOnly stayed one night on a cross country road trip, but the hotel was clean, comfortable, and well equipped with amenities. It was perfect and our pup enjoyed the cozy stay!
Friendly and Clean
Motel 6 Rossford OHThe room was very basic, but clean and my dog enjoyed our stay. Perfect for a night passing through on a road trip.
Pets are not really free
Red Roof Inn St George UT - Convention CenterOur room was clean and had the basic amenities. However I was put off with the fact that I had to pay an additional $30 on top of my reservation for a “pet cleaning fee” upon check in. It would have been nice to have this posted on their website (where I booked) to set billing expectations ahead of time with guests. The pet fee ended up adding 50% of my booked rate to the total bill. Overall I would stay here again, but I would compare against other pet-friendly hotels in the area first for the best value.
