Great place in a great location

Very clean, very friendly, and the room was just what we needed. Our only complaint would be having to wait so long for the very slow elevator... and it was the ONLY one of them that was working. Soooo challenging when everyone is leaving around the same time and big dogs in the elevator don't want little dogs riding along. We had to wait a few times and let the elevator go without us -- and then it was a long wait until it finally came back to us with enough room to catch a ride (if I hadn't just had foot surgery recently, we would have just taken the stairs as it would have been about 10 times faster). But that's not a dealbreaker for us, so we'll definitely be back.

Great room & great view

Overall, we loved our stay at the Trump International. Our little Morkie, Willow, wasn't sure about it, of course, but ended up being comfortable in her new surroundings after a couple of days. (There was a nice little grassy area near the front doors & valet area and all the other dogs seemed very well behaved.) I was pretty disappointed when I checked in at the front desk. The clerk said, "So, just 2 of you?" I said, "Yes, 2 adults. Plus our little dog." She said nothing about any goodies for our dog - just went back to looking down at her computer & finished the check-in. It wasn't until 3 days later, when the housekeeping lady (Dolores) saw our dog that she asked if we'd gotten all the 'goodies' for her. We told her we'd been given absolutely nothing.

She thought that was just awful and ran downstairs & came back with all kinds of doggie stuff - Trump dog snacks, a little flashlight with doggie poop bags in it, a little toy, etc. How sad that the person who checked us in could not have cared less about our little dog that we paid EXTRA money for her to stay with us. Dolores was awesome - she helped make our stay much better! But I can't say much about the rest of the staff.

I know this is just a review of how much our dog enjoyed her stay, but she would like to add that she saw her Mom & Dad struggling with suitcases & bags - both checking into and out of the hotel. And NOT ONE PERSON ever came to hold the doors for them or offered to help with their bags. She thought it was seriously barking wrong!
