Not good

I wouldn't recommend this, even though I realize that they had just had a frozen pipe incident and had been closed for three days and only had a handful of rooms ready. The room we got really wasn't ready either. I had reserved and paid with a non-refundable fee only a couple of hours earlier, but it should have been closed a while longer. After 10 hours of driving, at 10 p.m. and with a big dog, we didn't really have a choice, even though we were allowed to look at the room before we accepted. It had beds, after all.

The room was very dirty, the coffeemaker was missing the coffee pot and the microwave missing the spinning plate, and the handle broke off the bath tub faucet. We had no intention of staying long enough to take a shower or make coffee, but I tried the shower faucet in hopes of finding cold water for tooth brushing. But the water stayed warm in both sink and bath tub. There was an apparent drug bust on the street outside the motel when we arrived, with four cop cars and a dog, and the whole area seemed barren and abandoned. The friendly and apologetic staff kept this motel from being the worst ever (it's in my bottom three).
