Recommend for medium to large dogs
Spikes Dog Park at Gas N' GoThis was a great location to stop at on our road trip. It was very convenient to grab snacks, gas, and let the dogs out. It was great that the park was large. A lot larger then any other gas station dog parks I’ve been to before. I will be back on the way home!
The only thing negative is there are some gaps from the fence that don’t go all the way to the ground.
Different opportunity
Showcase of CitrusWe have been there a few times on vacation before but this time we came down here with our dogs. I didn’t realize Showcase of Citrus was pet friendly so we decided to bring our dogs back. The main area is free with stuff to do with family and kids. There’s farm animals to feed, a bar area to hangout at, little shops, and orange orchard to upick at. I read in the other review that that oranges didn’t look appealing but we heard on the monster bus tour that they’re suppose to look like that because they are natural. Everything was pet friendly including the monster bus tour. it went quick and was $25. The dogs enjoyed it but it was a tight squeeze. The ride only seemed to be 40 minutes.
I would recommend going to the “petting zoo” part and opt out of the monster bus. (didn’t think it was worth the money)
Huge park for the dogs to run!
Dog Park at Kenwood Parkwe are vacationing here in St Petersburg and have been hopping around from dog park to dog beach daily! I loved how big this park was as soon as we stepped in. There is a freeway over pass but it didn’t even seem to phase both my dogs. When we showed up 8 dogs were leavening. so unfortunately we missed them but my dogs still had a blast sprinting around the large area.
The water area was at the front but i did notice every bench throughout the park had a bowl with 3 water jugs next to it. There was also a hose area to wash off your dogs and a dog pool that could be filled with the hose.
Tons of dogs
Dog Park at Crescent Lake ParkWe played Pickleball at the courts right next to this dog park and new we had to come back with our dogs. when we were there just to play we noticed the park full. When we came back with our boys we were just as excited to see it was full again. Not only was the Large dog area filled with friends but the small dog sectioned had a lot too. I’ve been to a lot of dog parks and actually never witnessed the small dog area ever really being full.
Pros- lots of dogs
Cleaning area
Shade
Large Area
Seperated large and small dog section
Beautiful area to walk your dogs outside the dog park
Cons- Parking is terrible because of how busy it is. So that is good and bad.
It is a little ways to walk to get to the park. So you don’t get out and the entrance is right there. You have to walk a short ways to get to the dog park.
