Decent stay
Motel 6 Kansas City MO - AirportThe bed needs to be replaced, the room smelled strongly of cleaner (and stale human gas?), and the shower pan looked like it needed a deep clean, but it's a cheap Motel 6. Everything worked well, and the staff were nice.
Good For What It Is
Red Roof Inn LexingtonIt's a cheap, dog-friendly Red Roof. Staff were nice, property was good, room smelled strongly of cleaner but was solid otherwise.
Good!
Rodeway InnThe area felt a little more industrial than I was expecting but it was totally fine and it's conveniently on the way through town.
Not too bad!
Motel 6 Nephi UTIt's still the off season so it was kinda vacant. One couple had four large dogs, one of whom was never leashed and who loved to run outside, including toward mine who was leashed. Then one of the humans wasn't paying attention and let the three leashed dogs run at and start a fight with mine. The staff were super friendly. Room was acceptable for a small-town Motel 6. Bed could have been better, floors were vinyl planks which made everything louder. Someone nearby was smoking, so the hallway smelled of smoke and it wafted into our room. I put a towel under the door, which helped.
Cute!
Chalet MotelSuper nice staff and cute, handy location. The room was tight but had entering. Bed was kinda squeaky, the toilet kept filling every few minutes, and I wasn't sure if I'd fall through the shower pan, but I'd stay there again. The only real concern was that I found a small spider between two of the bed pillows when I first moved them, but the rest of the stay was fine. The parking space is inches from the step to the room!
Good stay!
Red Roof Inn & Suites DickinsonIt was good! After a horrible experience with a Red Roof a couple nights before (we slept in the car, instead), I was hesitant but this location was a relief! No complaints.
Unsafe, unclean
Red Roof Inn Detroit WarrenThe lady who checked us in was very friendly. The maintenance lady was smoking in the office. The room has no smoke detector—there's a cage where it should be and its wires are still there. The windows don't open and the fans don't work because the knobs have been removed. I figured out how to turn on the wall thermostat but it doesn't do anything. The shower knob's wall plate is hanging loose, letting loads of water into the wall. The dresser was missing two drawer fronts—one had been completely removed but the second drawer was still there, just without a front. The TV power cord was draped over the front of the dresser and plugged in where the top drawer used to be. There's a red stain of some kind on the bedspread. The mattress or its cover is stained and visible through the sheet. There's half a roll of toilet paper but it's sitting on the toilet because there's no spindle for the wall dispenser. Left early.
