Great Location, off-season holiday

Bartram Dream House I

We were looking for a fall "getaway" with our two dogs, and, having spent many summers and holidays with family in this area while growing up, thought it might be nice to return for a long weekend. We actually stayed at the Bartram Dream House II (part of the same residence), and we couldn't have been more pleased. We had a second floor apartment to ourselves, which included a fully-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms, a nice sitting area with TV, dining room, and porch. The house is just a few steps from the beach, and our two Airedales, on their first visit ever to the Jersey shore, LOVED it! Plenty of room to run off-leash, lots of seaweed and driftwood and shells to sniff and roll around in, and plenty of October sunshine despite cool air. Although dogs can't walk on the Ventnor boardwalk off season (they can cross to the beach), Bartram Dream House is in Atlantic City where dogs are welcome on the boardwalk in the off season. And they enjoyed the walks down from Bartram on the boardwalk. We did as well. Although the kitchen would have made meal prep easy, we opted for dining out for our short holiday, and there we plenty of places to eat (we favored breakfast at the Queen Bean on the boardwalk in Ventnor and just a short walk from Bartram) nearby. We highly recommend Bartram Dream House . Good host communications, dog-friendly, good location, super clean and tidy. We're already planning our return visit to this venue.

A pleasant overnight

Comfort Inn Lehigh Valley West

We were pleasantly surprised by the Comfort Inn Lehigh Valley West, a nice enough hotel chain that was selected because we were visiting a nearby family member on short notice. BringFido confirmed the availability of a pet friendly room, and no restrictions on having our two dogs with us. Check-in was a breeze, and our two additions didn't raise an eyebrow at the desk. The evening receptionist was friendly and efficient.

The beds were comfy (our dogs sleep on their own dog beds), TV was good, and a small refrigerator and microwave made it easy to heat up a couple of snacks and chill our travel items that needed to be cold. The room was clean and tidy, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was good - coffee, juice, waffles, bagels, toast, eggs, hash browns, cereal, yogurt, fruit - and, while not extraordinary, was more than adequate to start the day. All in all, a good value for a nice accommodation and very good service.
