Comfortable Stay

Check-in was quick and straight forward. Upstairs room. Nice sized room with TV, fridge, hair drier, small microwave and coffee maker. They have very strict rules for noise and people just hanging out in the parking lot. My only complaint, and has nothing to do with Red Roof Inn, was that I was leaving very early the next morning and went to bed early. At some point some child of the people staying in the next unit came banging on my door a couple of times. Other than that, everything else was fine. There are washers and dryers also there in case you need to do some laundry.

Could have been great

The location is great. The room was large, had a nice TV, a table and chair. The bed was comfortable. Check in was fast and convenient. The TA Travel Center is right across the street. There is a restaurant right next door and a 7-11 just down the street. Here's were the problems were: 1: Doesn't seem like the room was cleaned before being made available. The floor was sticky. The shower head was leaking and spraying all over the place. It needed to be replaced.

As a result we used all the towels in the room to get the water up off the floor and ended up asking for more towels. Where the AC unit was, there was rust or mold along the top edge of the unit. In the lobby the vending machine was "out of order." The window was very dirty and hadn't been cleaned in some time. The bed sheets had a really weird chemical type smell. I don't know what was going on with the dresser. Not sure if the drawers were broken or from another dresser. Because they didn't seem to fit that dresser.

After a long day of driving, if you need a place to sleep with your dog that's not going to cost you an arm and a leg and a pet deposit and if you can just overlook the issues, this is your place. It's not 5 bones and it's not horrible. It's a place to sleep for the night with your dog and have some basic conveniences.
