La Quinta Inn by Wyndham San MarcosNice little hotel with lots of room for you and your pet. Would highly recommend if travelling by this beautiful area.

Great Place To Bring Your Pup
Railyard Bar & GrillStopped in San Marcos for dinner and found this extremely dog friendly restaurant. Food was yummy and our dog and the many others there were happy to be out with their families.

Not Large Dog Friendly
Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Austin SouthWe booked a night at this particular Red Roof under the impression it was large dog friendly hotel however when we arrived at 9pm we were told that our 12 year golden retriever needed to be crated to get in, apparently a leash wasn’t sufficient. We haven’t had a crate since she was a puppy so had to carry her in as it was now late into the evening. Would not recommend this Red Roof as management seems to make up ridiculous rules.
