Regrettable Experience
Providence Marriott DowntownI had a regrettable experience with the Providence Marriott Downtown. Upon arrival, I was greeted and told that parking was additional. I was okay with this, and the customer service representative said that she would add the parking fee, $20, on my bill so I would not need to register online for the parking.
I went to my room. It was dirty overall. There was hair in the tub drain slowing the water draining, the vents were filled with dust and dander, there was a random QR code sticker on the dresser (non hotel sticker), and there was grime and dust everywhere.
Fast forward two weeks later, and I get a parking ticket in the mail saying I never paid for parking. I immediately called the hotel and was transferred to their head of security. I left a message. He proceeded to text me (not even call) after a few days, and then after my response, never text me back. I followed up and he said that I never paid for parking, and that they can't even add it as I booked through through BringFido. Now, a parking ticket is being held over my head as it will be sent to collections if I do not pay the parking that was supposed to already have been added! Please, if you have a choice, stay elsewhere in your visit to Providence.
