Very strict dog rules

The staff (and other folks in the town) were super helpful and friendly, and the room was clean, leak-free, fine temperature, etc. So, it was a totally acceptable room for a low price. But the room and furnishings were overall kind of low-quality or in some cases slightly broken; not a place I'd want to stay for a relaxing weekend instead of a one-night stopover.

And most significantly, the posted rules about dogs were VERY strict, and threatened large monetary penalties if broken. (I'll try to post a photo, but e.g. "pets are not allowed to sleep on the bed and violations will incur a $300 charge," "pets are not permitted in common areas," and tons of signs posted about exactly which patches of grass pets are allowed on.)

Overall, it kind of seems like the owners would prefer that dogs not stay here? But the staff were super friendly, we didn't have any issues, they helped out with anything we needed, etc. So, it's a mixed bag; considering the price and location, it might be what you need for a night or two!
