Great place to stay with dogs
The Lodge at Ventana CanyonSpent a very nice week here in one of the "lofted" rooms. The two of us and our dogs did not really need the loft area but it made the whole suite seem extra spacious. We had a complete kitchenette, dining table and open living area which opened to the balcony, with a separate master and bath, in addition to the loft with two queens and an en suite bath. The tub was a bit hard to maneuver as it is very deep and high sided. Although we were not greeted with dog toys and treats, the staff were friendly and accommodating. It was super quiet and we rarely ever heard other guests even though the facility was full. There was plenty of space to walk the dogs. Ours loved sitting on the balcony watching the tennis players and passersby. All in all a great place to stay.
Leisurely stroll with lots of good doggie smells
Roy P. Drachman Agua Caliente Regional ParkWe took our 3 dogs here twice in our week stay as it was easily accessible and they loved all the doggie smells! Is a peaceful park for a leisurely stroll. Was great to know that we could always pop over and have a fun place for them to explore.
Great walking trail in the beautiful desert
Dove MountainHad a great walk on a beautiful day. No map or bottled water, but the Burro trail was clearly marked and easily followed. We did not go the whole way as one of our dogs is elderly and were afraid we might go too far for him without being able to follow a map. We wish we had come here on the first day of our visit rather than the last! Great way to remember Tucson.
