Nice hotel

One of the better La Quintas! This one was all updated, even the rooms. The only problem was the vent air smelled like smoke! Breakfast should go until 10am!

Nice treats for dog

The motel is nothing to brag about. Very worn furniture, newer flooring but the tile in shower has a lot to be desired. Old, broken and moldy tile. Pillows are either flat or semi flat, bed was ok. For a dog friendly motel they have a lot of "can't do's" with your dog. Unfortunately due to the beach area and one of the few motels that take dogs, the price is outrageous for what it offers. The grounds are half taken care of but the worst was the overfilled cigarette butt collecting tray that was in the planter outside the rooms. Dog bowls, bones, and a towels were provided.

Dog good, people bad

Good for bringing dog, hardwood floor, wish there was grass for dogs but planter was ok, it was at least very well kept. Keep in mind this is right off the I5 fwy and is cheap (under $100) so don’t expect much. That being said we opted for the Superior King room. The only superior in this room was the king bed! Clean enough but no Kleenex, no extra toilet paper (only 1/2 a roll), towels were so old that they were see through. 1 hand towel. This is an old building where you hear everything that is going on in every room and outside. Love it when someone is wearing high heels walking across the floor above you! (Guess the clientele!).

Water pressure was definitely not a problem in fact it hurt our skin. No water saving here! The shower drain did not work. There was black mold growing behind the granite shower walls and on the wall just outside of the shower plus in the grout around the tub. Advertised a continental breakfast, nothing there! The nicest part of the motel was the office and breakfast area they are misleading to what the rooms would be like. Area is so sketchy, people just hang around outside like they have nothing better to do and definitely not a family type of place. All I can say is that they are buying those 4 & 5 star reviews!!!! Go someplace else!

Disgusting Carpeting throughout

This place is ok. They have done some renovations in the rooms and the lobby areas but the crappy, dirty disgusting carpeting throughout the whole Inn ruins it. The location is great for the Old East Davis shops and restaurants. You are better off staying at the Days Inn about 2 miles away, on the same side of the fwy and owned by Wyndham also. They also are pet friendly but their renovations are better in their rooms, no carpet, newer laminate flooring. Neither place has a breakfast worth going to though unless you want cereal or toast.
