Not safe for small dogs. Needs better Gates with no gaps and more shade.
Hefflinger Dog ParkWas disappointed at my last visit. There used to be 2 areas for small dogs one of which has multiple trees for shade and a completely separate entry area for big dogs and small dogs. This is helpful since 1 of my Chihuahuas is terrified by big dogs (the other one loves any dog of any size). The usual size for large dogs is undergoing construction so now the big dogs are in the fenced area (sharing a fence) next to the small dog area. The current area for small dogs has ZERO shade. And since the fence is shared with the big dogs in only caused stress for my little guy. ALSO, the gates on the small dogs area have a gap large enough to allow dogs to escape! While I was there not only was my dog able to slip out of the gate but other small dogs did as well. I will not be able to take my puppers back until the original large dog area opens back up AND they fix the gate issues. It's just not safe for small dogs.
