Convenient roadtrip stop
La Quinta by Wyndham BataviaRoom was clean and fine, easy in-out on first floor near side door, but hallway was needing repair from air conditioner drip. Reasonable green areas, close to food options.

Nice room and grounds
Comfort Inn Lehigh Valley WestConvenient roadtrip stop, clean spacious room with bright window, lots of green space and adjacent to office/corporate parks (nice on weekends since they are vacated), nearby restaurants. Only setback was that the side doors are emergency exit only and no entry, so dogs have to come and go through the halls and main lobby every time.

Located in a mall area
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Winchester VAConvenient road trip stop, adequate and clean green areas even though it's mostly surrounded by big parking lots. Appreciated the noon checkout time, which allowed us to go to an early morning event without rushing to vacate the room.

Courtyard by Marriott Ithaca Airport UniversityLocation within an office park is great for long relaxed walks, but it's also isolated away from amenities (which leaves you captive to their paid breakfast/meals). Facility and room are clean, modern, very pleasant. High pet fee.

Spacious room
Hilton Garden Inn Champaign UrbanaNice room and facility, not a lot of immediate green areas but it's an easy walk to a park nearby. 4 rather than 5 bones for: paid-only breakfast (we opted for the diner across the street instead), supposedly a parking fee (check-in staff said there's a daily fee but we didn't get charged), and pet fee may be going up.

Nice stay for everyone
Avon Old Farms HotelActually 4.5: pleasant, lovely strolling grounds, convenient parking for load-in/out. But there are no sidewalks or crosswalks on the busy roads around the property, so even though the river park and paths are just across the street it's very difficult to walk there or anywhere.

Convenient location but...
Best Western Plus Augusta Civic Center InnIt was great to be within easy walking distance for university campus dog walks, and the ample parking area allowed for relaxed loading/unloading, but the facility and room was sadly very rundown, dark, and musty. Front desk staff were super nice, they deserve a much more pleasant building to work in.

La Quinta by Wyndham South BurlingtonEasy overnight stop on a road trip north, plenty of nearby amenities. Not much green space on the immediate premises but a 5-min drive gets you to lakefront or wooded parks.

Economical but...
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bel Air/I-95 Exit 77AIt was ok for the quick overnight we needed, but the other surrounding establishments are probably more pleasant -- this one is small, dingy, and tucked in behind all the others. Parking lot was kind of grungy, but adjacent properties and office park have spacious nice grounds for walking your dogs (please pick up after your dogs so we don't get banned, thanks!)

Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bethel/DanburyConvenient and pleasant stop on a long roadtrip with two K9s-in-training. Walk next door for Lebanese-Mediterranean food and treats, check out the Latin-American bakeries in town.

Great location and room, close to Colonial Park
Sonesta Simply Suites SomersetThis was a roadtrip stop with our two scent hounds, in between K9 training camp and a field performance test. Many food options and amenities nearby, including within easy walking distance, and lots of adjacent grassy areas (but please respect those marked no dogs). Close to Colonial Park, a beautiful and spacious place to visit with your dogs -- the Morris & Essex show is held there.

"Work" stay for our dogs
Best Western Grand Victorian InnNothing fancy (i.e. didn't seem "grand" or "Victorian") but it was affordable accommodations for a field training workshop our dogs attended. Handy location and larger dogs ok!

Sonesta Simply Suites Cleveland North Olmsted AirportThe location was excellent for our needs (right off 480, just across the street from malls and many food options, 1.5 mile from Rocky River Park) and the room was very clean and pleasantly sanitized, including the fully equipped kitchenette. Nice grass area with shade trees along the fencing behind building. We will definitely stay here again when traveling with our dogs! (Update: repeat stay was equally fine, thanks!)

Lovely roadtrip stop
The Lincklaen HouseWe opted for a short excursion off of I-90 (instead of staying at the usual highway motel) and it made for a nice break. Cazenovia is a pretty walking town and the centrally located Lincklaen House is close to everything and the lake. Great for the polite friendly dog (hallways and staircases are narrow and winding).

Microtel Inn by Wyndham Victor/RochesterJust off I-90, but away from road noise, and very close to lots of shopping and food choices. Grounds are interconnected with other hotel and office parking areas for plenty of grassy walks that are clean and pleasant (please help keep it that way, folks!) nice grounds for walking
Sonesta Simply Suites Parsippany Morris Plains(This is now a Sonesta Suite.) Very patient and kind check-in clerk, clean room, convenient and pleasant grassy areas with waste station and bordered by woods, on-site laundry. "Vibe" was sad, due to the pandemic situation and I think transient workers staying there, but it was fine for us and our dogs (we train in search). Many nearby food places, groceries, and parks.

great for the dogs, convenient roadtrip location
Red Roof Inn and Suites Herkimergood value stay for an overnight trip with two larger (60 lbs) dogs, nice grassy area, Denny's right next door, room was reasonably clean (especially for the covid era) though dusty in the corners.

Convenient location for our roadtrip stop
Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Charleston West an IHG HotelNot a downtown location or countryside retreat, but it's a nice shiny-modern facility just off the interstate, and close to a dog park where we met up with friends. The in-hotel restaurant seems to get a bum rap, but it's not bad if you keep it simple: they let us carryout cocktails to our room and the classic burgers were fine.

Best place for Expo Center show
SureStay Plus by Best Western Louisville Airport Expo3 mins down the road from Kentucky Expo Center Gate 6 entrance. On a busy main road and also by the airport, but back far enough that it's fairly quiet and pleasant. Mini-bar area in room is very handy with high cabinets where you can put away dog food & treats. Nice enclosed grassy area behind building [please, to the culprits: pick up after yourselves, why do you think they go to the trouble of providing bag stations and bins? Always the rude few who mess up appreciated amenities for others...] and residential area side streets around the corner. Kind and friendly staff, good pizza next door and generous Mediterranean takeout portions across the street.

Perfect stop for our roadtrip south
La Quinta by Wyndham Cleveland MacedoniaRight off I-71 but not with immediate frontage on busy roads, so rooms are nicely quiet. 5 mins from Cuyahoga National Park with lots of great paths and trails to walk your pups. Easy takeout from Mexican restaurant across the street.
