Good room location, but needed updating

Our room was near an exit door on the main floor, making it easy to get in and out with our dog. But the room had been well used and in need of some updates to make it a nice place to stay. Additionally, while it was a non-smoking hotel, there was clearly a cigarette smoke smell in our room. The manager did not have another room for us, but helped with an ionizer and spray to eliminate the smell, so it was just an inconvenience.

Easy Access and Dog Friendly

Comfort Suites University

Not too far from I-80 and dog friendly. Many fast food places and stores within walking distance. Rooms are decent. Would have given it a 5 except it has the noisy air conditioning unit under the window which cycles on and off. But worth the price.
