I have a small rescue, he has anxiety when left in a hotel alone. I like to take him with us as much as possible when we travel.

Decent
Key IngredientsInteresting location, we went based on BringFido reviews. When we arrived there were a few cars in the parking lot, seems we were greeted by a guest, the cook came out shortly after and said he was there by himself. Gave the menu verbally, didn’t seem to have a menu, we ordered. Food was okay. Priced comparable. Weird vibe. We were offered a water bowl for the dog after a bit, but we travel with one and had ordered an extra water for the pup.
Great Spot
Grandfather Mountain State ParkThis is a must do if you’re in the area. Some parts are not pet friendly, but a majority of the mountain are welcoming to dogs. You can do a leisurely or intensive trip to Grandfather Mountain. Reservation is recommended.
Pet Friendly Patio
Coyote KitchenFido is welcome, menu is expansive, service was quick, order was messed up, but we adapted vs sending it back. Patio is a safe space for dogs.
Good Old Fashioned Diner
Troy's 105 DinerGreat diner food, outdoor seating is just a couple tables outside where you can sit with your dog. They’re right up next to the parking lot, not really “Fido friendly” just Fido convenient. Food was good diner food.
Great Location
Melanie's Food FantasyGreat location in downtown Boone. Coffee is interesting, as in not the greatest, food was great, patio was perfect for a pup.
Good Pizza, Bring Bug Spray
Aldo's Pizza PiesThey had a large covered outdoor area. This was a plus, however, mosquitoes were terrible! I walked away with at least 20 bites on my legs and feet. Be sure to bring bug spray if you plan to dine there in the spring/summer. Waiters take your order, no need to swap people or tie Fido up outside.
