convenient location, good service
Super 8 by Wyndham Sault Ste Marie OnThis was a nice, one-level building and they gave us great access to the external door. Basic room, but clean, with the standard Super 8 breakfast (but the french toast was a nice addition). It's located between a Starbucks and a Dairy Queen, so you have other options as well. Great walk in Bellevue park - about 10mins away.

Rustic and beautiful
The Willard Munger InnGreat price on a great stay. The room was huge, the breakfast was fantastic, and the walking trails (do a lake loop or take the path along the tracks - both were very nice)
Very friendly service - they even let us use the oven to heat up the pasties we picked up along our route.
A definite gem in Duluth.

Super clean, easy access, great service
Extended Stay America Suites Seattle RedmondReally enjoyed this stay. The room was very clean, the unit was reasonably quiet, and parking was fantastic. Always appreciate when hotels keep you on the ground floor when you have a pup.
Only complaint about this unit - water pressure was really low, and the tub didn't drain very well.
If you do stay here, there's a really nice park about 4mins away (Ardmore park) - wood chip trails, so many trees, and friendly walkers. (we were even treated to a lovely lady singing opera as she hiked the trails, and it sounded amazing in that setting)

bed was great. everything else, notsomuch
Days Inn by Wyndham JamestownA really convenient location with McDonalds across the road, a Beer and Wine a block away, and a gas station/carwash next door. The service was nice, and the bed was fantastic, other than being quite high.
Downsides: the rest of the room was very old, with serious corrosion on the faucets. The TV itself was good, but analog channels only and poor quality at that. The water is ice cold unless you run it for a few minutes (seriously - about 5mins before it was hot enough for a decent shower). The water pressure wasn't the worst we've had, but might be problematic for folks wanting to get shampoo out of thick hair.
Breakfast was rough - there was one English muffin, a basket of red delicious on the brink of rotting (bottoms were mush) and cold cereal - fortunately, McD's was across the street.
We've had much better stays at this price point (but to be fair, we've had worse stays that cost more)

clean room, good price
Quality Innvery busy hotel, but parking was great, breakfast was good, and the beds were wonderful. Only complaint was that the room was on the second floor, with no elevator. not really an issue for us, but would be for anyone with limited mobility as the stairs are quite steep.
