Large Dog Park
James F. Holland Memorial ParkNot much shade, but luckily we were visiting over Thanksgiving. Our two got to stretch their legs but unfortunately the retention pond snow fencing wasn’t secure all the way around and of course our two found the opening. Ugh stinky nasty smell.
Great Park
Herty Pines Dog ParkWe stopped on here twice, on our way south and north. Such a large shady park which was perfect for our two malamutes to really stretch their legs before heading back out on the road. Local have a great gem here
Good
Red Roof Inn Chapel Hill - UNCFriendly service and a clean room located in quiet area. Pre approved to stay with our two large malamutes. Just stayed one night before heading back on the road. Would stay here again.
Affordable
Red Roof Inn Allentown AirportStayed two nights. We called Red Roof main number to verify we could stay with our two large malamutes, which they approved. Nice area to walk around hotel with dogs. Only issue was fan kept turning off. Interior wasn’t the nicest but it worked for a place to sleep with our babies.
Great Large Dog Park!
Allen Township Dog ParkWe visited 11 dog parks on a road trip over Thanksgiving and this dog park was one on the largest. Our two large malamutes really enjoyed the space to really run and stretch their legs. Park seemed clean and maintained and other dogs/owners were friendly. We would visit again. It didn’t have much shade covering but with it going into December we didn’t need it. Normally our furry babies need that. We will have to remember if we visit over summer.
Nice
Polk Valley Dog ParkWe were visiting family and needed a place to let our two malamutes run off leash for a few before hitting the road again. This was a nice dog park with separate small/large. The large dog area was a decent size and seemed well maintained. Was very happy visiting here and would use next time we’re in the area.
Quiet
Dog Park at Joplin ParkWe were just traveling thru and needed a park to literally let the dogs run. I agree with other reviewer, no one was there when we stopped in, but it seemed well maintained. It is small but worked for our two big malamutes to stretch their legs.
