Property perimeter is full of poison oak

Our stay here was enjoyable. The room was clean and fresh and comfortable. The maids were especially kind and friendly. Overall the hotel is very enjoyable. The only problem I had is that the edges of the property are completely surrounded by poison oak. Even the station where you get the poop bag for your dog was in the poison oak. My dog prefers to go into a woodsy area or someplace with leaves to do her business and I could not let her do it because of the toxic poison oak. Lawn maintenance really needs to get some type of herbicide to kill the poison oak. This has no effect on most guests unless they bring a pet. Again I enjoyed my stay and look forward to visiting there again sometime.

Best pet friendly hotel I've seen

This La Quinta is head and shoulders above the other pet-friendly hotels I've stayed in. The pet rooms are on the bottom floor with its own entrance and parking area. The rooms have vinyl plank flooring and the rooms were recently refreshed.

Our room was spotless, smelled fresh and no other pet owners were on our end of the floor. It made for an extremely comfortable stay for both our dog and us.

One negative is that the hotel's outdoor pet area is pretty bad. Its just a gravel patch. Fortunately, adjacent property has a large grassy area and some bushes that my dog favors.

The hotel employees could not be nicer and they seem to actually like having pets around.

I give the Warwick La Quinta a full five bones as a great place for Fido (and people too!)
