Motel 6-Merced CAThis was my first time staying in a Motel 6. It will be my last time. On the positive, the room was 'renovated' and the furniture was modernized and the laminate flooring was nice. However, the bathtub had a huge stain and there were paint splatters on the new floor which made it look like it needed swept. The entire building was in poor shape: landscaping consisted of neglected plants and bare dirt and full of dog poop (there were no poop bags and no garbage can if someone had there own), concrete was stained and smelly, carpet in hallway was disgustingly dirty and stained, Exterior doors between hallway and exterior were open and I was concerned about security. There were people lurking around the property during the night that I encountered when I had to take my dog out in the middle of the night twice. There was no phone in the room to call the front desk, no shampoo, no hairdryer, no clock, no extra blanket/pillow, no coffee, no microwave. This may be typical of Motel 6, but I am accustomed to have them provided so was caught off guard.
