Good, not great

The pet policy is pretty nice, they have a small little bathroom area which, considering it’s location ( city/ industrial area) was nice to have. Good continental breakfast, nice staff. Only issues I had were that our room smelt kinda gross. When we mentioned it to the staff they offered to give us a new room. The other issue I had was that there were the poison pest killing box things surrounding the hotel and there was a dead cockroach on the walk way going from the back pool entrance to the main entrance. Had I not noticed it my dog may have ate a poisoned bug and would have had to go to the emergency vet. I don’t think most places take that into consideration when they claim to be pet friendly but it can on the rare occasion be a safety concern.
