Cool place to have a drink your dog
Green RoomWe arrived in town before we could check into where we were staying. This was the perfect spot to have a drink while we waited. They even let dogs inside, which was nice, so the dogs could cool off in the air conditioning. Local beer on tap, and happy hour specials.
Cool
Strand Brass and Christmas on the StrandWater bowl out front, dog friendly employees, and lots of nice things to buy
Great park!
Lindale Dog ParkWe drove 3 hours to get to Galveston, and our dogs loved being able to run and stretch their legs when we got here. We had our dog frisbee, but were pleasantly there was a bin full of tennis balls to play with. There were also at least two places with garden hoses and water bowls. There was also plenty of shade. One of the nicest dog parks we have been to!
Good eats!
Stuttgarden Tavern on the StrandAfter driving 3 hours to get to Galveston, we went to the Lindale dog park first to let our dogs stretch their legs. Then we came here to eat on their first floor outdoor patio. The waiter, Jacob, was very friendly, and provided excellent service. He lovess dogs, and even let us know they had dog beer. My son got the jagerschnitzel, my husband got the poutine, I got the pulled pork sliders, and my daughter-in-law got the grilled cheese. All of it was very good , and the service was excellent.
Good eats!
Rikenjaks Brewing CompanyWe are traveling with our dogs, so we need restaurants with dog-friendly outdoor seating. The waitress, Geneva, was very friendly, and suggested the boudin, beer brat and pretzel appetizer. It was delicious! She even asked if the dogs could have "table food" and then brought them some bacon pieces. So we were all happy!
