Clean And Super Dog Friendly
La Quinta by Wyndham DickinsonThis was a great hotel for our purposes! It was clean and the staff was very nice. The best part was the grab and go breakfast which seems to be more elaborate when there is not a pandemic.
They only lose a bone because not a single employee was wearing a mask.
Dirty, Smoky Room, Sketchy Area But Really Nice Staff
Motel 6 Medford OrWe stopped here for a dog-friendly sleep after a rainy escape from Crater Lake. Like all Motel 6’s they were very dog-friendly and the staff was very nice. The motel was easy to find and next door to a Dairy Queen.
The room itself was disgusting. The first thing we noticed was the thick smell of cigarettes in a non-smoking room. When I went to shower I found hair all over the shower curtain. Then when we were getting ready for bed we noticed stains on the sheets.
Most importantly this Motel 6 was more secluded than other motels we’ve stayed at and there were some shading things going on behind cracked doors. I will spring for something a little more expensive next time I’m in Medford.
Nice Park, Nice Dogs, Lots Of Kidd
Dog Park at Village West ParkWe stopped at this park to get our puppy’s zooms out after 4 hours in the car. The park was a good size and there were lots of dogs for Ruti to play with. However, this dog park is next to a neighborhood playground and there were a lot of unsupervised young children wandering around and in the off-leash area which just seemed like a recipe for trouble so after 15 minutes we left. If you go to this park outside of school hours or over the summer be prepared to babysit I guess.
