Cool spot!

Otto PINT

I will always review the conditions for the dog first. Good outdoor seating with lots of tables with umbrellas, so shade is definitely available. There’s enough space for dogs to spread out. There’s grass nearby. I felt we were well accommodated. The drink selection is good. The pizza is really good. I will gladly come back here with a dog.

DCO is a winner

DC Oakes Brewhouse and Eatery

The experience was very good from the very beginning. You can bring your dog in the front door to talk to the hostess and ask to sit on the patio. Plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas for shade. The staff seem to really love having dogs around, as several of them came by to say hi to my dog, and all the other dogs that were there. They were very willing to keep my dog’s water bowl full. This place is a favorite of mine because the food is always on point. The fries are some of the best I’ve ever had. Worth it!

Good spot for dogs

SweetWater Brewing Company

Sweetwater was very accommodating of my dog. I was able to go in the front doors and walk up to the register to order with my dog in tow. The shade on the patio will be better in the middle of the day, as the patio is on the south side of the building and will have full sun in the late afternoon. The picnic tables are under an overhang which provides some shade, and there are several umbrellas for shade at the other tables, although not all tables had umbrellas. They can provide a dog bowl for water. As for the rest, the beer is good and the food is good. I had the veggie burger- all of the ingredients were top notch except the patty itself which seems like your stock standard frozen patty with corn and black beans in it. I would gladly go back, mostly for the ease of taking a dog.

Adequate stay

La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Fort Collins

I’m a local and I needed a hotel room for 8 hours during the middle of the day with my three dogs while I vacated the house for it to be serviced. I asked the manager in person if my three large dogs (50/65/70 lbs) could be allowed to stay. He said yes without hesitation and didn’t even ask about their breed or their size. I was very grateful! I did not use the beds, or take advantage of breakfast. The room definitely felt like a pet room - vinyl floors and well-used furniture. It was clean enough though. The staff were helpful and friendly. There is a pet waste station, but there is no grass in the area. If you’re able to, I recommend jumping in the car and going to Riverbend Ponds Natural Area or Edora Park not too far away for a better potty opportunity.

Good for big dogs

Red Roof Inn Grand Rapids Airport

Red Roof Inn is always a good go-to choice if you’re traveling with dogs. Their pet policy was the most flexible that I found and I did not find any place cheaper. The room is what you can expect for a pet friendly room - not everything is pristine but the bed was comfortable, the heat was good, and the shower was hot and strong. Their “dog run” area leaves something to be desired, especially because at the time of my reservation the snow was melting and making the ground soggy/muddy, but if you venture off the property just a bit you can find enough grassy area to get you by.
