Great for passing through

Stopped on our long drive from Padre to Minneapolis. Clean, nicely decorated, spacious. Breakfast and coffee in the morning.

You get what you pay for

This little motel is straight out of a true crime documentary but if you are tired, stuck on Oklahoma backroads and have a dog with you, it's a place to crash. The room was fine. Probably not updated since the 60's minus the flatscreen TV. At least it didn't smell. I pulled back the blanket and there was debris on the top sheets. One of those places that doesn't wash the blankets, only the sheets? There was a small table, fridge, crappy hotel coffee maker so that was nice.

It was quiet. Bathroom was old but at least seemed clean. Toilet took forever to fill. I investigated a hole in the ceiling for cameras or eye balls - there were neither. Shower water got hot. The only heat is a very noisy wall unit which turned on and off all night. Kinda like sleeping in a garage. Earplugs and an eye mask, some Lysol wipes and your own pillow and blanket would be helpful. Everything in town closed on Sunday fyi no coffee or breakfast to be found. It did its job.

Meh

If you are a tired traveler passing through with a dog and need a place to lay your head, well ya have one. The outside of our room had beer cans and bottles. The parking lot had garbage strewn, a little pick up goes a long way. The door looked like it had maybe been kicked by a pimp a few times. Inside the room glad to find tile that can be cleaned. They tried a little with some updates but water damage on the ceiling and a rotting mirror remind you that you are in a cheap motel, which is exactly where I am and what I want to pay for on a through stay. Could be much improved with a little effort.

Fan-freaking- tastic

Omg get the corner high top on the patio with the lake view! The Korean tacos and paella were amazing! Great service..our waitress was so sweet and even brought our 2 dogs a bowl of water! The cream brew was a great local craft beer! Will be back next time we come through Duluth..best meal in a long time!
