Great stay

Beech Tree Inn & Cottage

We had a great stay at the Beech Tree Inn. They are dog friendly and were very nice to our dog. We were the only guests with a dog, but the other guests seemed to be happy to see her. The inn's location is about a mile from town center, so we were able to walk most places with our dog. Lots of restaurants nearby allow dogs in their outdoor spaces. Our room was comfortable and immaculate. Modernized plumbing...no problem with hot water as is often the case in older b&bs.

I believe Tiffany was the chef and her breakfasts are awesome. We had French Toast and Eggs Benedict. The french toast is probably the best I've had. The first morning, we were able to eat on the patio with our dog. The next, it was raining, so they brought breakfast to our room and we were able to eat there. They also offer brandy and snacks in the living room in the evenings and I did enjoy a nightcap on our last night. Check in was contactless via text and codes to get into your room due to covid.

Dogs welcome, food ok

The Lake House Pub and Grille

Great service with a dog-friendly outdoor seating area with views of the lake. There was live music when we were there which added a relaxed summer vibe.
We forgot our dog dish. The waitress brought water out for my dogs before we even had a chance to ask.
The food is burgers and classic American casual fare. Huge portions.

Doggies welcome and delicious food

Cafe Provence

The food here is superb. We stopped here for lunch because we were traveling with dogs and they have dog friendly seating outdoors.
The outdoor seating is very comfortable with shade provided by some large umbrellas. Our waitress happily filled the water dish for our dogs.
I wanted to try everything on the menu, but settled for the lobster roll with pommel frites...best fries I've had. The lobster salad and bread it was on were perfection. My husband had the roast beef panini and enjoyed it as well.
Finished with a maple creme Brulee...delish.
This was a lovely lunch...would definitely go back for dinner

They REALLY like dogs (and the food is good)

The Lookout Tavern

Dog friendly restaurant with outside dining area. They brought my dogs water in a Tito's vodka dog dish, lol.
The food was surprisingly good. My fungus and Swiss burger was excellent and flavorful with sauteed onions and mushrooms. My husband enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich with bacon and ranch.
I had blueberry crisp with ice cream for dessert..YUM
