Terrific staff, gross room
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Tucson EastThe highlight is that the staff was friendly, and efficient. That said, there’s nothing they could do since this La Quinta has not been upgraded in years. My socks were black from the carpet, the floor (where there was no carpet) was slick, hairs and stains on the comforter along with a used washcloth hanging in the shower. They were pet friendly but given all of that who cares. We left early. 0/10

A safe place to take your pet with no amenities
SpringHill Suites by Marriott FlagstaffIt was clean and safe. The pet fee is expensive at $75 but does allow you to bring 2 large pets and they can stay in the room. The trade off is that you don’t get housekeeping services. They offer treats to your pets upon check-in and charge you $6 a day to self-park. Our experience during the winter is that there is no place shoveled for your pet to relieve themselves and the parking lot was poorly shoveled for a car let alone Fido.
