Top Notch Dog Park
Minnehaha Regional ParkOne of the best dog parks in terms of activity options (water, hiking, etc). Enjoyable for both the doggo and owner. Plan to walk and don’t bring strollers - more rugged than the average off-leash park. Hiking near the Mississippi, lower and upper trail options depending on your dogs preferences. Highly recommend a dog with good recall skills as this park is massive. However, it’s also a great place to give your dog some freedom safely. One thing to note: the beginning of your walk is not fenced in so best to keep on the leash until you enter the actual off-leash area. You will see plenty of signs and some allow their dogs off leash in these areas. My girl loves chasing squirrels and other wooded creatures so I don’t risk it. If your dog loves to swim, I can guarantee a muddy/wet/happy dog by the end of your adventure!
Additional info: You will have to pay for parking as well as a day or annual pass for the dog park. Again, totally worth the cost as this is a unique dog park.
Enjoy!! We are new to the area and will be back🐶
